Jennifer Hudson's latest gig is bringing her career full circle. The star has signed on as one of the headliners for the Carnival Cruise line's new "Carnival Live Concert Series."
The Grammy and Oscar winner was a cruise ship singer before skyrocketing to fame on "American Idol" in 2003.
On Carnival's official website, the concert series is described as a "unique opportunity" for music fans to see their favorite artists in an intimate setting.
Fellow "Idol" alum Daughtry is among the acts booked for concerts on board ships and at venues at select ports. The lineup also includes Gavin DeGraw, Jewel, Lady Antebellum, Foreigner, Olivia Newton-John and REO Speedwagon.
The "Carnival Live" concerts are set to kick off in April, with a total of 49 performances already booked.
Meantime, Jennifer is promoting her upcoming album with a newly-released video for her latest single "I Can't Describe."
